Executive Council met at 1:30 p.m. in 611 Allen Hall. Present were Dr. Mark Keenum, presiding, Dr. Peter Rabideau, Dr. Mary Alexander, Dr. Glenn Steele, Mike McGrevey, Dr. Melissa Mixon, Dr. David Nagel, Dr. Bill Kibler, John Rush, Duncan McKenzie, Sam Manning, Julie Fulgham, Don Zant, Joe Farris, and Charlie Guest and Wayne Bland.

Dr. Steele presented for discussion a proposed Security Incident Policy that would define poor practices, security infractions and security violations and establish reporting procedures and sanctions. Council members offered suggestions. Dr. Steele and Facility Security Officer Neil Lewis will refine the proposed policy for presentation at a later meeting.

Mr.McGrevey presented for approval a proposed Identify Theft Prevention Policy. The policy reflects current practices to protect private information included in Accounts Receivable and Perkins Loan accounts, among others, and meets a requirement of the federal Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act on the Identify Theft Red Flags Rule. The council recommended that the title of the policy be expanded to "Identity Theft Prevention for Consumer Accounts" and recommended approval.
